Elevator evangelism…

So, I am in Washington DC invited to an upmarket hotel.

I am wearing my clergy collar.

I am in an elevator that is full.
Everyone is looking at the floor numbers over the door.
No eye contact.
All very serious.
So I offer the shortest sermon I have in my Repertoire.
“I have to ask you people, the ageless and eternal question?”
Pointing, “Are you going up or are you going down?  Amen.”
Everyone cracked up.
It was amazing… We ALL went up.
I think it was the most successful evangelizing moment of my life!
